About Speria

Speria was launched in May 2026 to manifest the unique capabilities the portfolio of controllers, sensors, IoT, supply chain optimization software and services provided by the companies within Munters business area FoodTech bring to customers acting in the global food supply chain

For more than 50 years, the companies behind Speria have been developing technologies that have shaped modern food production. Together, they have over 150 years of experience serving the industry behind the food on our tables.

The earliest roots trace back to 1974 with the founding of Hotraco in the Netherlands, followed by the emergence of new innovators across the world: Rotem in Israel (1994), MTech Systems in the United States (1994), InoBram in Brazil (2004), and AEI in the United States.

Munters began bringing these capabilities together in 2011 with the acquisition of Rotem, followed by MTech Systems in 2017, InoBram in 2023, and both AEI and Hotraco in 2024.

Together, we have pioneered advancements in controllers, sensors, IoT, gateways, supply‑chain optimization software and services – building capabilities that would later become essential to the industry’s digital transformation.
